Econoline Performance? Customizing?

I know this may sound weird, but my friends and I are probably getting a party van for next summer to take on road trips and stuff, and I was wondering about the performance options and customization for late '80s-early '90s 6 cyl. econolines are. What sites should I look at for parts and stuff? I won't be overhauling the engine or anything, but I was wondering about smaller stuff.
