Looky what I got!

Got this in the mail today (finally). I ordered it 4 months ago...

I hope to have it installed with the Neuspeed eurethane bushings tomorrow so it's ready for the trek to Oregon. :sun:

Oh, and here's the latest incarnation of my sub pod... I added a layer of fiberglass to the outside of it... Next, I'll be re-inforcing the inside with fiberglass matting. then sand sand sand...

I ordered the shifter from Import Parts Plus... Apparently, they were back-ordered for a while, and In July, I got a e-mail saying they had sent it to me, and they gave me a tracking number. Well, it never showed up, and when I checked the tracking number at USPS, they said it wasn't even a valid number... Anywho, I e-mailed them, and they sent out another one, that was last week. So, I don't know what happened, but I don't harbor any ill will towards Import Parts Plus... I think it was just a mix-up, and when I did e-mail them, they were prompt and courteous...

The sub pod is gonna take me probably another month or so. I ran out of resin, and I'm pretty low on fundage right now, but once I get that, I don't have alot of time to work on it, then I gotta spend a LONG time sanding, and then have it painted...

Polyurethane bushings own! I have a Hurst with Energy Suspensions in it. The sort of positive "clicking" into gear is much better than with crappy rubber bushings. However lube those bitches up! Lithium Grease!

Not sure what the air-space is going to turn out to be, I'll have to check it. I'm hoping it'll be 1 cubic foot for each sub, but I have a feeling it's a little larger than that... Eventually, there will be a divider between the 2 subs so they have their own air-space.

Yeah, my bushings came with some kind of lube, don't know if it's Lithium Grease or not... I've been wanting to install the bushings for several months now. My gears grind on just about every shift, sometimes really bad, there's alot of play in the shifter, so I think it's my old rubber bushings going out. I need to change my tranny oil too, that'll probably help also.

Yea, and the VX rims are gonna enhance my rims. Now if only I could figure out why my system all of a sudden sounds like shit and the sub isnt as loud. Maybe the amp is on its way out but i dunno.
