Veilside S15

Hey

Picked this kit up last weekend and just gut started on it yesterday. Not a bad looking kit, 2 things which i dont like is the rims are abit big for the arch as i noticed when you install the Veilside side skirt it touches the wheel when positioned, il fix this unless i use a set of 17" which will fit well!

Also i noticed that the front bumper is abit small and doesnt resemble the box art to well, oh and when i opened the hood i realised that it gonna be hard to get an engine in there as its not very high and little room! Anyways less talk on this one!

Not alot of modifications but this is what i have come up with, feel free to add to the list!

-Custom Muffler
-Racing Seats
-Aftermarket or Scratch built seatbelts
-RB26-DETT Converted to RB20-DET(Take from Tamiya Skyline R32)
-Tacho and Timers
-Sports steering Wheel
-Wired Engine, will actualy follow reference pics for once! i hope.....

Thats bout it...here are some pics!

Thnx for looking!

Re: Veilside S15

red looks really nice with that body kit. I was a bit displeased with this kit as well, and have already taken the body kit and used it on other projects, so I'll be using the stock parts for this build (it's really nice that they left them in there, so you could use the body kit elsewhere, and still have a decent kit to build).

Hey agen, now i have done some progress on it but soz but i dont have camera atm. Working on then Engine walls etc. Hopefully going to get an RB26 engine sometime soon so i can get started on the engine. Now for colours i dont really have any ideas, i dont want black or blue cos i use them to often. Like someone suggested maybe a red or yellow??

Aint used those colours before, for interior im going to use black and the colour i choose for the body....thnx for looking!

Re: Veilside S15

Hey all, sorry for the slow progress, now you all have something to comment about, its sprayed with tamiya Metallic Black for a show car look, havent polished it yet but will do soon, worked on engine but no pics, it will be a suprise when its done!

Paint looks fairly good i reckon but will look great after polish! Interior done in metalic black aswell, will start on interior once finished body. Still have to do trims, lights, details etc

Im happy with the look so far, here are the progress pics...hope you all like!

Thnx for looking, pls comment lol! btw the person who served me at the model shop gave me silver leaf instead of silver, what is the difference, can i stil use it for the car or what?? help!

Re: Veilside S15

The front bumper doesn't look like its completely covered in paint. If you look at the openings on the front, they dont look covered. It looks very cool overall. Keep it up.

Re: Veilside S15

Make sure you clear coat first or youll risk messing up the mettallic paint with polishing.

Re: Veilside S15

back agen, front bumper isnt on properly, just a mockup to show you, the chassis is completed and took me a good 30mins to get the perfect ride height which i think i achieved! no clearcoat or bodydetails, should i do a silver window trim or leave black??

Here are the pics of its stance atm! hope you all like!

Re: Veilside S15

Nice progress so far. Rims aren't my taste though. Stance is hard to tell from shots above the model...is better to take them from the side, but from what I can see, looks good so far. Can't wait to see the engine too. Not too sure about having interior done in metallic black too, but will see the end results.
