99 tempo wont stay running

hello all, my girlfriends 88 tempo will start, but once she lets go of the ignition it will shut off. any help?

Sounds like a possible ignition switch.

sounds like an old dodge problem. They had this problem with all their ignitions in the muscle car era. I do not know if the tempos have a ballast resistor on their ignitions or not.
