Is it possible to run an aftermarket deck and hook it to the factory 6 disc changer?

try a deck that will receive a mp3 player, or one that can decode mp3s from a disc.
700mb capacity disc=140 songs(average size 5mb per song)
or, get a deck which reads dvd rom(i just got a pioneer AVH-P5700DVD)
4.5gb capacity disc=900 songs.
blows a cd changer out of the water...

I am completly aware of the other options. All I wanted to know if there was a way to use the factory 6 disc with an aftermarket HU

you are more than welcome to ask the dealer...odds are they will know a whole lot less than the average person on this site. yes, im sure there is nothing. you might beable to custom wire somthing in, but i highly doubt it. as a direct plug in. i didnt find anythign when i was looking, nor does anyone on the national site have any idea.

There should be a way to hard wire it in. Espically is the HU has a cd changer input. Maybe I'll try and if there isnt I'm not out anything

you will have to wing it and find out. controling the changer will be the toughest

option offered from dodge, no. could you get it installed as an aftermarket dealer option, yes

That's really weird...the kicker sound system should have everything upgraded(and intact) tweeters, door speakers, and the 10" sub in the trunk. Look to see if the tweeters on the dash have a "K" written on them, if so then it's the kicker's...if not...then someone probably just installed the 6 disc changer and left it at that.

i have a changer...i nabbed it from somoen with a kicker system. lots of guys are like me, and buy it from a buddy

i guess im gonna have 2 remove mine when i get a new deck...that sucks

i saw your advise on which deck to pick, but do we need an adapter or a custom fit plate from stock deck to aftermarket deck? i know in the cavalier someone tried to tell me that i had to install an adapter so the airbag wouldnt go off....
