Cool transmission swap

i am upgrading from the dx transmission to a si transmission and exedy racing clutch, a jdm lightwieght racing flywheel, then to the engine upgrades, as i said in my previous post, i blew up the dx transmission doing a burnout, but a good chance to make the car better, i took a transmission out of a crx si 5-spd car, i got a exedy racing clutch for a 91 civic, and the flywheel for a 91 civic, i hope this will make a major difference, maybe i need to invest in a short throw shifter now??

Re: transmission swap

Get a good one. Those Ebay shifters always cause 3rd to go out (even faster).

Re: transmission swap

as far as shortshifters are concerned, fidanza arent much more than ebay ones, look around (i cant remember where i got mine) i got a dual bend for under 40$ shipped. the short shifter was nice but adding in poly bushings for the linkage and poly engine inserts make the shift action much sharper than i would have dreamed of for a total of <100$
mini-me = cheap fun - cheaper than going to dohc zc with similar hp gain
boosted mini-me even better
plus the added benefit of plentiful cheap replacement parts from 15 years of compatible sohc dseries at any junk yard
