P0171 Code Round Duex

Here's a question.......

I'm pretty sure I did the Isolator Bolt fix in conjunction with having to seal the inner baffle to the outer baffle about 25K miles ago (have 71K on a 2000 Winny). Has anyone had to do it a second time? I have the P0171 light again.

Yup! Also had to replace the DPFE sensor too. Corrosion inside.

Thanks....John

Re: P0171 Code Round Duex

I have not, but there have been some too get the code again later. As for your inner baffle issue I replaced my upper claim shell with the updated version. The baffle is heat welded plastic. not snaped in. Also get this,, I am only running 7 isolator bolts one broke when I over tighten the bolt. I think its going on about a year now since the project and so far so good.. KNOCK ON WOOD.. There have been some to do the project twice because they got the black isolator bolts instead of the green ones or did not replace there port seals along with the bolts.

What's the deal with the black ones? I think that was the color of the ones I got from Ford.
