oil pressure

ok i am curious about this whole oil pressure issue. when i crank the car up the pressure is up to 120. once the engine warms up it stays at 120psi. is this normal for this car. not that i am complaining as long as the pressure is past the danger zone. i have 94 bonneville non supercharger. with 187,000 mile on it.

Re: oil pressure

The oil pressure sending unit (sensor) is probably no good. I say probably because it could also be a corroded or broken wire. I'm going through this myself right now but, I'll start a new thread for my problem. I believe that the sensor on your car is just above the oil filter but, another lister with your year can confirm that. A new sensor should be about $40. Good luck.
