2003 Ford Escape Power Problem
I Have A 2003 Ford Escape Limited And It Seems When You Are On A Steep Grade The Vehicle Will Not Accelerate Otherwise It Runs Fine. Almost Like A Transmission Problem But I Don't Think Its Slipping. When You Step On The Gas For Performance The Truck Really Doesn't Move. On Flat Or Normal Road Conditions It Seems Fine. Any Ideas On This. I Have Replaced The Fuel And Air Filters. The Vehicle Has About 33k On It.

Re: 2003 Ford Escape Power Problem
I would get a pressure gage and check the fuel pressure. Your pressure regulator might be keeping the fuel pressure low. I would call the dealer and check if your computer and fuel system is covered for 50,000 miles.

Is it downshifting? V6 or 4-banger?
Actually, I had some cable issues at the throttle plate control...so maybe yours is not downshifting properly... Let us know... |
