'00 3.2 pinging, wits end
Hey y'all.
Our 2000 Passport runs fine at 126k, other than a light to moderate pinging when accelerating and going up hills. I've ran cleaner thru the injectors, Seafoam thru the intake to clean any gunk out of the chambers, checked the plugs(worn some, but I've ran much worse with no worries), all checks out fine. So is there anything else I can try to stop this ping??? Clean the EGR? Colder plugs? Wash the windows? New lug nuts? Race cams, twin-turbos, headers, 3" dual exhaust thru Flowmaster Super 40s???

Re: '00 3.2 pinging, wits end
There is some PING info in the FAQ's.
I've had some PING issues before too. I use Techron Concentrate in the gas once every 3k and use sea foam in the oil (run it for 20 mins and change the oil) and it helps to keep it away. Also cleaning the egr and egr tube and PCV will help too.
