drive belt and driver

ok explaining what i mean by certain phrases

ok driver = the circle thing that the belt runs on
drive belt = drive belt

ok so one of my drivers are not a solid piece of steel its like kind of a runner and it has a metal coil inside that has to go in 2 holes so it can be set into place and so i have to turn it and compress it but i can't get it to all go together if anyone knows of a trick to get it working or if i missed something please help me, thank you

Are you referring to a pulley? What year and model Century to include engine size?
