need help w/ my short ram intake

i have a 95 nissan 200sx se 1.6L, i was told that i can put a Injen Short Ram Intake onto my car. however, i found out there's a electrical wire is connecting from MAF sensor on to the air box! yes on the air box, i know that's weird. i cant just stick the wire into the aftermarket intake filter!!
what should i do now?

That's exactly what you do. Find someplace to stick the sensor in the short-ram's air flow. It's easy on an HKS filter, because you can just pass it straight thru the filter.

if you get really lazy, just zip tie it next to the air filter. All it does is measure the incoming air temp and as long as its near the filter you'll be allright.
