94 Grand Prix Stalls Intermittently
Just picked up a 94 Grand Prix SE, 3.1L engine. All seems good except every now and then it stalls when slowing down or stopping. Anybody have a suggestion on where to start? Plugs, wires, air filter is new.
Thanks, Bears |

Re: 94 Grand Prix Stalls Intermittently
Check fuel pressure at the fuel injector rail and make it is in specs. How about the fuel filter?
Another cause could be a carboned up idle air controller (IAC) and dirty throttle body. Just clean the TB with carb or throttle body spray cleaner and the IAC spring loaded pintle. Be sure to get the seat and orifice where the IAC mounts to the TB.

Re: 94 Grand Prix Stalls Intermittently
Another possibility is a TCC solenoid sticking. The TCC locks the torque converter at highway speeds, and if it doens't unlock as you slow down, it will cause the car to buck and stall.
