Coolent leak
My 96 passat has a coolent leak and I am not sure were it is coming from. Would a product like a 'stop leak formula' work for a temporary fix?

Re: Coolent leak
what is it are you noticing that your coolant level is dropping with no trace of fluid on the ground or is it that you have a puddle on the ground and you dont know where its coming from? If coolant is mysteriously disappearing its probably an oilcooler or a headgasket.

Re: Coolent leak
I am actually seeing a small puddle of coolent on the ground, but it is hard to pick out because I have an oil leak as well. I was told the stop leak fluid would probably not be a good idea for the coolent leak. Any other suggestions before I take it in?
