Fuel Filter need
I have a '98 eclipse and it began to idle with a pulsing and then the rpms jumped btwn 1000 and 0 and then died. Im thinking of replacing the fuel filter. Does this sound right? Does anyone know exactly where its located btwn the fuel tank and engine?

Re: Fuel Filter need
Which model? This will help us to better diagnose the problem. Also, the fuel filters are located on the firewall towards the bottom in the middle/towards the passenger side some.

Re: Fuel Filter need
Doesn't sound like a fuel filter. Have you checked for any loose/disconnected vacuum hoses? Or any unplugged sensor wires?

Re: Fuel Filter need
I havent checked the vac yet, but so far what i have found is this- one of my spark plugs is cracked (again, for the third time in six months). I replaced all the plugs and wires, and cleaned the throttle body. It seems to be running, but I'm afraid there is a bigger issue here.
