Kr 211v '06
Hey guys after seeing that Tamiya has released the 06 rc211v I decided to make the Proton KR 06 because the bike use the same engine so well we will see what happens, I'm currently using a new way to make the scratch build of the body that i have never used before
This project will be long... I learned with the Aprilia that I can make only the things in the good way when I have the pleasure and the desires of doing it. So i don't know when will be here the next update becuase i'm "playing" with this type of bodys anyhow I hope to put more pictures soon Here we can see the body cut of (using a side of the bike) next step will be make the shapes looking from the top view. second step: I will put the mori mori putty over the body, after polished next step will be the copy in resin and the latest polished. ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't know when I will post updates.... but I hope (and i'm sure) that you liked it. PS: I'm still having the RS Cube on my mind.. just i have to find the way to continue with it Bye Roca |

Re: Proton KR '06
If your Cube is any indication, this will be fun to watch. What are you using to cut the foam? You seem to be avoiding the crumbly nature of expanded styrofoam. You more often see extruded foam used for this, because it cuts more easily and is more resiliant to cutting, shaping, and whatever surface treatment you intend to use.

Re: Proton KR '06
The foam is a very good idea.....but..if you put liquid silicone on it....can the foam melt???
You also have to say how do you do the silicone mold....and the products you use....Thanks..and ..good luck! |

Re: Proton KR '06
Nice start Roca. I like the foam method for roughing in the shapes.
I'll keep my eye on this one too. Dave |

Re: Proton KR '06
Hi guys
Unfortunately I tried to work with the putty over a piece of foam to see what happens and how I was thinking it melts so I decided to make the silicone mold directly from the foam shape. You will have news soon Bye!!! Roca. |
