I turned the motor off tonight and the fan kept running. Let it go for about a half-hour hoping it would shut off on it's own (used to have a car where the fan would run for a while after I turned the motor off). I ended up unplugging the fan power to shut it off. Fan motor stuck? Computer problem? Help!

look behind glove box on the HVAC housing and find the blower motor relay and replace or switch with another relay. MT

Thanks! I looked in there. There appears to be only one relay (black cube about 1 in. X 1.5in. unplugs from unit). Is that what I need to replace?

The radiator fan relay is in the Power Distributiion Center (PDC) under the hood on the pass..side of the engine compartment.
Position D... Yes..the Interior fan relay is behind the glove box... |

Re: 97 radiator fan keeps running...
Relay behind the glovebox is ,indeed, interior fans. Oh well it was only $9.84 and my interior fans should work for another 120K miles. Meanwhile, I will check on the other location in the engine compartment "position D"...
Thanks alot guys! |
