weird noise? vibration? 93 tans sport 3800

Sorry Trans Sport

I have recently bought a 93 transport 3800 for $200 and it was not running "right" and then would not start at all when we got it home. there were a few codes, camshaft position sensor, crankshaft sensor, throttle position sensor, and no spark. the odometer reads 219,000 but there was a new GM installed moter and trany at 169,000.

We have replaced the coil packs (used), the ignition module new, new wires and plugs, camshaft position sensor, crankshaft sensor twice(we broke the first one by bending the interrupter rings), throttle position sensor, the in line fuel filter, we installed a muffler and tail pipe, and a break line in the right front.

After countless hours of labor and banging our heads on a wall trying to figure out what to do next we found this fourm.

Thanks to receiving help from this forum. It now runs and sounds great!!!

My problem now is there is a noise and very slight vibration(I feel the vibration with my foot on the floor board). I think it is coming from the left front. Could it be a wheel bearing?

Any help would be great!
Thank You!

Yes it can be a wheel brg. if you feel a high vib. from the gas peddle. I have had this a few times, but you should also hear a howl when on the highway.
93 w/brgs too easy to change just be sure to pick up after market or you pay big time. One tip for 93 being quite old, for the torx bolts if the wrench tip will not stay in the hole as it is corroded and the tip backs out then torqued to remove, use a big C clamp on the head of the breaker bar and clamp to back area of hub, this will put high pressure on torx tip and keep it in place to beak loose the stubborn bolt. You may not have this problem but if you do there ya go.

INdeed front bearing failure is revealed by a continuous growl or rumbling that worsens if you turn in one direction and lessens in the other direction. Jack one front wheel at a time, apply parking brake and run engine in drive: the failed bearing will make much more noise than the good one.
Chnged one front and one rear bearing lately.
Clink and clunks are a common transport feature: tie rod ends, both inner and outer, and lately on mine, loose subframe bolts..but in my case t'was because I had been there and did not tighten them enough the last time.
