96 Achieva...check engine light

Hi, I bought my 96 Achieva 2.4L about 2 months ago with 143,000 and the check engine light will not turn off. Well, there was a leak in the fuel line so we had that fixed and the light is still on...and now it looks like we'll have to replace the o2 sensor. The biggest problem is that I cannot pass e-check with that light on and my tags expire tomorrow. Any tips on what I might be able to do to at least pass e-check? The car runs great and the gas leak was the only problem that I've had. Also...the pull levers for my trunk and fuel door won't work, and I have no trunk key. Can it be fixed? Thanks!

Thank you for the welcome. The car has been throwing out the evaporation system code, but I found out yesterday that the tank is leaking right at the seam so that will have to be replaced. The computer got cleared and I passed e-check, so now I just need to buy a new tank. I'm sure I'll be back.
