Smile Gauges Not Working

I started our 1992 Dodge Carvan and was driving and sometime later noticed that all the gauges on dash are not working. Even the tach and the speedometer are out. Only thing working is the "Check Gauges" light on the dash. The van runs and drives fine, power works on turn signals, heater everything seams normal just no dash systems. Never had this problem or even any indication before. Any Ideas?
Thanks David

Re: Gauges Not Working

Judging by your lack of responses I'm getting the impression many are getting tired of talking about instrument cluster problems. This is a very common problem. Search this forum for the pile of info available.

Not familiar with 92s but on later models if you smack the dash and everything corrects itself, it's indicative of a bad solder joint on the instrument cluster circuit card or a loose or corroded connection at the cluster.

Another trick is to pull the IOD fuse for a couple minutes to reset the Body Control Module. Again, don't know if this applies to a 92.
