5.3 Liter Maintenance
I have a 2003 sierra half ton 4wd pick-up truck with a 5.3 liter engine. I've had it since new. The book tells me to change spark plugs at 100,000 miles. Although I haven't hit 100k yet I'm sneaking up on it. Is there any virute in using premium plugs and/or wire or just OEM stuff, if so what is your recommendation. I'm generally satisfied with the truck's performance both from a fuel economy and power point of view, but if there is an improvement to be had easily I'm all for taking advantage of it. I use full synthetic oil and a K&N Air cleaner otherwise everything is as it came new.

Re: 5.3 Liter Maintenance
Welcome to AF, stay with the Iridium AC Delco plugs and premium wires. Fuel filter of course, clean the throttle body also.
