Neeed Help Fast Please

alright im doing my plugs and wires. on a 2000 GTP. i couldnt get the wire boot out of the silver cylinder. welll then it broke off inside the silver cylinder. so i just yanked the silver thing off. but theres a spring inside the silver thing. where does that sping go. on top of the plug before the wire? between the block and the plug?, or between the plug and the bottom of the silver cylinder

thanks''

if you live close by give me a call that would be better

630-289-2772 thanks

The metal shield is a heat shield and anti-static suppressor. The shield removes from the plug boot and the spring is supposed to stay intact. The shield and spring is slid over the plug boot. The spring should be at the bottom of the shield. Then inserted over the spark plug tip/electrode/ceramic intact with wire and then snaps into place.
