2000 Galant Horn/keyless entry
Hello,
I am having a problem with my 2000 Galant. The horn will stay on if I lock it with the keyless remote and will not shut off unless I pull the relay under the hood. I have replaced this relay and am still having the same problem. The horn does not do this if I just hit the horn button on the steering wheel, so I don't think that is the problem. Nor do I think it is the relay since I put a new one in. Is there another relay that I am missing? Is it possible that the ETACS is bad? I don't know much about this. All I know is I unplugged it and now I have no turn signals and the keyless does not work so I assume this is the same box that and receives the signal from the keyless. I need to add that this does not happen every time. I put the relay back in and it works fine. But if I leave it sit for a while and come back and use the keyless to lock it, the horn stays on. ![]() I really need my horn but I can't keep the relay in or it will stay on. I have 12 days till this car is due for inspection so I really need to get this fixed. ![]() ![]() Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..... |

Re: 2000 Galant Horn/keyless entry
hope pressing & holding your valet led will help to solve your problem if it has one. what about disabling your car security and use your key to close and open doors... what will happen? automate security?
