Auto Air Paint

Can you reduce AA with purified water? Also, do you HAVE to use the reducer that AA makes? Quick answers would be great! Thanks in advance.

Re: Auto Air Paint

Yes you can thin AA with destilled (purified) water, works fine for me.
The AA reducer is pure crap IMO, so is the "new" reducer they recently released, claiming that it was improved. Some like to add a few drops of "Fantastik" to the water, makes it flow nicer. Never tried it because I cant get hold of anything called "Fantastik", I did try ajax, mr.muscle and a whole bunch of other chemicals but never noticed any improvement exept for a nice smell :P

Also, dont forget to heat set the paint after you finished painting!!!!

Re: Auto Air Paint

I' m aso thinning my AA paint whit water and it work well, but as dukeman said, don't forget to heat set your paint. Oh!Dont use the clear coat from AA either, it's not really clear (more like a dull coat) and stay kind of sticky...
