97 Passat GLX Electrical Problem

shocker?

Heres the deal,

Well, I have a 1997 Passat GLX. The other day I got in my car to and started it up to find that the trip odometer, clock, power locks, sun roof, dome lights, cigarette lighter, and a couple others things have been reset/arnt working.

They worked earlier in the same day... I honestly have no idea what it could be. hahaha... the important stuff still works.. like the car runs fine.

Every time the car is turned off the clock and trip get reset, also, the tach, spedo, temp, and gas gauges all stay up when the car is turned off.

any idea? I dont even know where to begin. haha

Re: 97 Passat GLX Electrical Problem

ah, got it. I found on a TDI forum.

Turns out the 21 Fuse was blown. I just switched it with the #10 (foglights) for the time being

Re: 97 Passat GLX Electrical Problem

Do you mean the 21 relay behind the fuse panel?
