97 2.5 leaking coolant
OK this is wierd....I had a leak from my lower radiator hose at the block. I replaced the hose and refilled the coolant.....before I even started the jeep, I saw it leaking again.....drained it again and checked the clamps and fitting of the hose...seemed fine. I have removed the hose/clamp a couple times now and it continues to leak. I cannot see what the problem is. I can't see anywhere else the water would be coming from, but it's wierd that it would be leaking from a clamped hose without even having the engine on and the only pressure the water has is gravity. if anyone has any advice....PLEASE let me know. Thanks

Re: 97 2.5 leaking coolant
actually nevermind.....a friend just emailed me a site that explained it. It is actually the water pump about to go out. the jeep waterpumps have a warning system, it has a small hole that allows a leak once the seal is no longer intact. it just so happens to leak right on the lower radiator hose so it looks like thats where it comes from......heres a link with more info.

Re: 97 2.5 leaking coolant
That is a really easy job, just did mine this summer. Make sure there is an "R" on the fins of the one you buy. They have a reverse spin on the fan.
