keyless entry?

How do I know if my car came with keyless entry and not given the key fob? My car has power locks, but am unsure if I can have a key fob programmed to open my car.

ps
I just picked it up today
1996 LX with the 4cyl/auto
35,000 miles for $3800 one owner car. Did I do okay?
