Something in my dashboard....scaring me..:(
Ok, I dont know if this is a big problem or not, but I just got my G20 and I dont want no early problems with it. I have a 91 G20 5-speed manual. Every time I shut the door, on the driver or passenger side, something goes "knock" somewhere between the back of my dashboard and where the top of my hood starts at, I dont have a clue what it is but does somebody else know?? Also, while i'm here, my alarm dont work
-_- its supposed to like, after 30 seconds, but It doesnt, can someone tell me how to fix it?? Thanx everyone!

Noise in dash/Alarm
I had the same problem. It was a broken servo that opens and closes the air-recirculation door. Press the air-recircluate button when the AC is on, it probably does not work. If it does work tough you will feel the fan blow stronger when it is on. Bring it to Infiniti, they will have to remove your whole dash.
As for the alarm. Roll down a window...then engage (lock doors) the alarm...wait 30 seconds...then put your arm in the car and unlock the door and open it, the alarm should sound if you have a factory keyless entry/alarm.

I wouldn't have thought it is going to be cheap, as it will be at least three hours labour

Dash board noise
I have no clue how much it will cost. When I had mine fixed, the car was under an extended warranty. Nothing is going to happen if you don't fix it. The only thing is you will not be able to use the air-recirculation system. It may be stuck on shut, or it may be stuck on open...mine was stuck on open.
