You will need a mount kit, modified shift linkage, and you will also need to convert to mpfi. The LX has dpfi and only runs 2 fuel injectors as opposed to the 4 on the b16a. I have never heard anything about rising sun engines, good or bad.

Here are some other places:

i ordered my first b16 from jdmhondaparts...it was a decent motor...kinda dirty...and it burned oil....my friend got one from there and it was fine. anyways, i blew that one up (my fault)....and ordered the next one from hondamotorsonline and received a very clean nice b16 (unfortunately came off an auto xsi/rsi) but it runs great..knock on wood. i say go with hondamotorsonline....just my $0.02 tho.

If you have to ask whether or not you need engine mounts to put a completely different series engine into your car, then you shouldn't be getting an engine swap. I hate all these kids running around with mods on their car that don't know SHIT about how to do anything.

Well that is the reason they come in here. I don't know that much about engine swaps yet, but that is the reason I come in here, is to try to learn more off of the people who actaully know what they are doing.

Lets be nice DarkImportGrey

Seriously DarkImportGrey, thats a little rough. I dont know how u think we're r suppose to learn about things, because unlike u we aren't born with engine swap knowledge. All i know is that there are no stupid questions, just stupid answers: LIKE YOURS!!

PS Im not tryin to get into anything, but just dont be so mean to all the kiddies on the forum. :frog:

PPS I already knew about the engine mounts being needed, but up until 5 months ago, i didnt know wat an engine mount was, hell i didnt even know wat a B16A was.

So what makes you so special? Personally, I'm not a mechanic, so obviously, I don't know everything about cars and engine swaps, etc. But when I have a question about it, I post here because I know there are people with more experience than me that can answer my questions.

All that guy asked is wether the B16 would drop directly into his sedan without different mounts... This gives absolutely NO indication of his mechanical inclination (or his age). It only shows that he is not familiar with the differences between d-series and b-series engines. For all you know, this guy has been doing engine swaps his whole life, just not in Hondas.

So shut your trap or piss off if you can't handle being Gods gift to 4th gens.

damn, you have to start some where. oh wait, DarkImportGrey was born with that knowledge

royzdz, you can get a sohc vtec or ZC (dohc non-vtec) and they will work with your stock mounts, axels, tranny, and all that good stuff. since you have a LX..you might want to upgrade to a 88-91 EX (or Si. EX is better in 4 door) tranny while you have the engine+tranny out
