2001 Ford Taurus with 90,000 miles.
I am looking to buy this car that I saw in the paper. It says it's in excellent condition and I am going to go look at it later today, however, what should I be worried about with a car with this many miles on it?
I plan on fixing or replacing anything that should have been replaced long ago... I just need a recommended list. |

I'd drive it and see how the transmission feels. That's about the only major thing I can think of. Sometimes, the heater cores will get clogged up.
Once you get it, you are going to want to flush the trans fluid and install a transmission cooler.

If it has the Duratech engine then that's not really a lot of miles. We just bought one with 86K and gave it a complete tune up (stay away from Bosch plugs) and it runs like a raped ape
