Unhappy 92 Yukon interior lights electrical problem

I have a problem with my interior lights. They won't come on when doors is opened, when switched on... This includes the spot lamps by the dome lamps and on the center overhead console. I have checked the fuses and checked the bulbs, both are OK. Now my left turn signal is going thru bulbs like mad. Also the Stereo/cd player is not working, no pwr to it.Where do I go from here, and what do I need to do? Do I need to have it seen by an auto electrical person? Thanks

Re: 92 Yukon interior lights electrical problem

Do not know if your problem still exist, however I have had the same one ...
Please note that there are black plastick switches on the body of the vehicle on the springs ... when U R closing the door the switch is going in and in the open door position the switch / knob is out ... Check the contacts on the switches ... Sometimes you might need to even spray with electrical parts cleaner, however prior to it needs to take the knob / switch out - can damage the dash paint ...
Good luck.
