First Car

I am shopping for my first car and i have narrowed it down to two cars. A 2002 or 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally Edition or a 2000 or 2001 Toyota Celica TRD. Which one do you think would be better?

Re: First Car

the celica easily, if its a gt-s you are talking about, it will be faster, handle better, and be much more reliable. not to mention its not ugly like the lancer. non evo lancers suck.

Re: First Car

Between those two, the Celica easily. Like blakscorpion said, non-Evo lancers are terrible. The Celica will be quicker, more reliable, better looking, and better in every way except space. Now, I personally would get neither. I'd look into an Acura RSX-S.

Re: First Car

^ yea, the rsx-s is a fine car. performance wise it and the celica are very close, it really depends on which one is more asthetically pleasing to you.

Re: First Car

u can get a celica gts for under 20k. granted the lancer would be a little less insurance and having 4 doors has its advantages/versatility
...but screw it! the celica is quick reliable and sexy!

Re: First Car

For a first car...are you paying for the insurance and gas? If not, then the Celica...if not, then maybe the Lancer OZ if you dont have a high paying job.

Re: First Car

If you're looking at a celica, then there's no reason why you shouldn't also take closer look at the EP Civics. The Type-R cars are simply bargains for what you get and is in my opinion, much better than the comparable Celicas.
