hi i have a 96 lumnia and when i turn the wheel (front pass is where the clunking sound seems to come from.) to extreame left it clunks and then when i turn it back the other way it does it again. and it is only when like you back out of a parking spot or do a hard turn... not when driving straight down the road... and i was wondering if anyone else had this problem or if anyone could give me insight on what the problem might be i would really appreciate it thank you very much

Welcome to AF. Had any work done to the brakes or wheel bearings lately, lug nuts tight?

Re: clunking noise please help
Top strut isolator bushings are known clunk and pop producers on Luminas with the wheels cut hard...especially in reverse....

Good point Larry, another issue also maybe the caliper support brackets loose, axles nuts loose, this car must be gone over by someone who knows whats what.
