Yzr500 1988
This is and isn't a work in progress.
Started this kit about a year ago and did the wheels and started the engine. Then got side tracked with other things and picked up again last week and have done frame and rear. It is a 1/9 Protar metal kit,was going to paint frame then thought what for it's a metal kit so will polish frame to bring out the shine. The problem with this kit is instructions cnnot for the life of me work out paint guide . So with the help of ref photo's painting on what I can match, The real bonus is the decals It has full markings for kit (Marlboro) And hoses are with in the correct scale for bike. ![]() ![]() ![]() Shayne |

Re: Yzr500 1988
2nd kit that I have done with metal 1st one was a 916 Ducati wsbk, they are quite heavy and sturdy a few fitting problems but nothing that can't be overcome, the other thing you have to make the chain link by link but comes with a template so not to bad(made of soft plastic)get get a pic up to show what I mean.
The metal parts are forks handle bars and frame + pit stand rest is plastic. Shayne |
