These both throttle cables or what?
I have a 94 Grand Prix 3100, Am wondering about the throttle cables. I have 2 on mine or do I. What exactly is this other one? I know the larger silver one is my main throttle or so I am assuming but the smaller black one, is this like an over drive or passing gear or choke of some kind, please clearify if possible. I think I may have messed something up on mine. I thought the silver main was my throttle and when this was accelrated to a point then the send one catch with it for an extra boost like passing gear or over drive. If so my smaller black one does not engage at all when I turn the larger throttle cable to its max by hand. Thanks. Any links showing info on this would also be great. Ive searched and cannot find anything related, I think im using the wrong names for this apperatus. Also there looks to be another one above the two where another line COULD possibly go, know what thats about?

Re: These both throttle cables or what?
Do you have cruise control on your GP? If so, this may be your CC cable. The throttle on my 2000 GP has two connections on it as well. The lower one is the cruise control cable and runs back to a control box of some sort. Just a guess here.

Re: These both throttle cables or what?
I think you might have hit it on the head with the CC idea. Sounds right as I do have cruise on mine. BTW I have fixed the power issue/ over drive/ passing gear (What have you). It seems it was my TCC connection plug to the tranny that I unplugged and FORGOT to plug back in, DUHH me. A friend mentioned it to me and I was like Dohhh. So i hooked it back up and took er out for a spin and can spin the tires off it again if I wanted to, all kinds of power once more. Thanks for the replies. Now to just figure out the cooling fans and im done as far as I know, and I am pretty sure it is that small green wire going to my computer that I had to dissconnect. I will rewire this back on with a new pin and see what happens. Thanks again people. Deff getting ahead of the game now.
