2007 Stx
I saw one on fords site and I really like the way the front grill looks without the gay bars going across it like the other models.
Does anyone have one and has some imput on it? Im looking to land one with the 3.0 and 5speed if not a auto will do for me.

Re: 2007 Stx
why the 3.0 - the 4.0 is a much better engine and better mileage too.

Re: 2007 Stx
I was picking the 3.0 only cause weve had a couple of taruses with the 3.0 vulcan and we beated on those till the end of time.
is the 4.0 really worth the extra 1000$ the STX doesnt have 4wd

Re: 2007 Stx
I'm a tech. for a ford dealer and hate test-driving rangers with the 3.0 - they are painfull to drive! the lack of power limits the use of overdrive on the freeway, forget pulling out in traffic, and the mileage on the 3.0 is lower in real world than the 4.0 due to the amount the engine labors to pull the truck. the 3.0 is a good reliable engine but the 4.0 has an equal track record if not better.

Re: 2007 Stx
I don't have a problem maintaining highway speeds with my 3.0 vulcan Taurus. It's got 3.73 gearing and it's fine by me. From what I read on rogue performance, the Vulcan is pretty happy with 3.73.
