02 Blazer Stalling, Dash Lights Flashing, etc
Hey guys
Since Monday night my 02 s-blazer has been acting goofy. First it wouldn't start unless I gave it a little gas, then it would stall as soon as I let off. It would work find once I was moving. Then my abs/brake lights would come on, and my overhead compass would flash on and off, and the radio would turn off and the clock reset. Now the truck will just randomly die, then start back up, if I give it a bit of gas. The air bag light was flashing on and off. It only does this randomly, sometimes it works 100%, other times it does this. If I turn it off for a few minutes then its fine. I'm getting these codes: [Brake] C0237 - Rear Wheel Signal Erratic (History) [Brake] C0281 - Brake Switch Circuit (History) [Brake] C0226 - LF Wheel Speed Signal Missing (History) [Restraints] U1000 - Class 2 Communications Malfunction (History) (Immature) [Brake] C0222 - RF Wheel Speed Signal Missing (History) [Restraints] U1064 - Loss of Communications with DIM (History) (Immature) Those codes were stored, the CEL wasn't on, and the truck was working fine before this. I haven't washed under the hood or anything in months. Any ideas? Also, the other day right before it would start stalling, I was getting bad altenator whine though the radio. This thing is screwed! |

Re: 02 Blazer Stalling, Dash Lights Flashing, etc
#1 is check the battery and alternator - shops all test for free. Blazers act goofy as voltage drops so if in a hot climate we get 3 years on a battery max and GMs usually need alts every 60-80k on average. If not them has the dash been out for a heater core I'd then think wire harness connectors. Clear the codes after that and see if all OK.

Re: 02 Blazer Stalling, Dash Lights Flashing, etc
I found the negative battery post to be a little loose, so I cleaned it and reinstalled it. Tested the alternator, the batter is at 14.7 with the truck running, even though my dash says around 16. The problem hasn't reoccured, but I haven't driven the truck much. Thanks for now, Jaxon
