Rear Drum service procedure
Hi, I would appreciate if somebody could direct me to a good procedure for doing rear drum replacement , with shoes on my 2001 ram 1500 4x4.. and any tips on tools needed . Also easy way to back off on the shoes to making the drum come off easier and proper adjustment after all back together.( pictures would be helpful also )
I never did drum brakes before but have done disc and preformed many motorcycle maintenance procedures by following good direction. Thank You all in advance for taking the time to HELP a guy trying to save a few bucks . GARYP138 |

Re: Rear Drum service procedure
If you have a fast internet connection, at the top of the page look at the thread about service manuals, on the second or third page is a manual for 01 Ram, real handy and will give you pics and a breakdown of the brakes.

Re: Rear Drum service procedure
I would not recommend doing the drums by yourself the first time.. Drums are the worst. Better to pay someone to do it.
