05 with a Ghost in the Machine (the Radio)
We've got a nice 2005 Bonneville that was previously a rental. It's been a great car, but lately it's developed a frustrating quirk.
The radio (always on) decides to change itself. It started slowly (like 10 minutes or so per station, then normal operation), but now it's jumping from station to station at an alarming rate. The stations it chooses are from the presets, sometimes it's the previous station, sometimes it's one we only listen to when the weather's bad. If the driver picks a station, it does go to it, at least for a minute. Then, well all bets are off. While I do find it amusing when the radio takes over in the middle of my hubby's favorite song, he is much less amused. Anyone ever experienced this? Is she simply expressing her displeasure at our choice of music? Is she bored? What should we check first? Thanks in advance for your help. |

Re: 05 with a Ghost in the Machine (the Radio)
My guess is that there is a connection problem with the steering wheel radio controls. Try to see if you can induce the station change by moving the steering wheel.
