alpine or jl audio
hi, i was going through my which speakers i want and i found some jl audio speakers not to badly priced the model is TR650-CSi and i was wondering if any one has and negtive feedback on them cause if i do not get them then i am getting apline type r speakers.

unless you are serious competing in sound quality, I would think either would be a good set. Try and listen to them first, since speakers make the biggest diference.

the only neg. feedback i've heard from JL is their price.
only personal experience with Type-R's are subs, and i have good feedback on those. never actually heard the components. imo, if you're not serious in competing, you may want to even consider cheaper companies. like paul said, give a listen at a shop like best buy/circuit city. (FYI: make sure you know if the salesman has an amp powering it or not, because running it thru a HU will dound different than running it thru an amp. likewise, if you have an amp for your speaks, make sure what u hear with the salesman is amped)
