sentra vs early bmw, sienna vs early accord...

well, i guess you can say that i had fun today. school was boring none the less, but this is where my greatness of day comes along.

2001 sentra se vs early 90's bmw 5-series
taked to the guy after the race and he said it had the 3.0 v8, but im pretty sure it was the v6. he stated that it wasnt too beefy, but could move easily for its size. 1st gear, it was pretty even, auto shifted into 2nd and i got my 1/2 car lead on him and we both shut down at 80 since traffic was coming up. talked to the guy, and he seemed pretty cool about it. i must now say that my short ram intake hurts my ears a little bit when i am at full throttle in 2nd, at about 6k rpms. that thing is loud..... ill grab a sound clip if anyone of you wants to see what i mean tomorro, as i have no school. the bmw looked like so:

2004 v6 sienna vs early 90s accord with flip up lights
This next race was kind fun, as i was on my way back from my cousins house from watchin the incredibles(dont ask). i see headlights in the rear view mirror of a car and switch lanes so it can roll right next to me. apparently its a manual early 90s accord with a over exagerating exhaust tip or so. of course, me wanting to pick on it since it looked like crap rev'd the sienna's v6. he payed no attention. i then started pacing him and he still diddnt budge. we get to the next light and i bounce the engine off the rev limiter and let down. the guy looks at me like im crazy, and i point at the light. he nods and gets ready apparently. i used the brake & tq method with the v6 at about 2250rpms and do an awd launch i guess. a little tire squealing and im already at 45mph and he's more than 3 busses back. thats being nice. it shifts to 2nd and i hold it out to 60mph, and he's even further back. i let off after that and say rice was well cooked to my passenger brother. he says im a crack addict to speed. we turn onto an industrial road near my house and go to turn around. thing turns out is that this guy lives down the street from me. i guess you can say i had fun.

and thats the adventure for the day. so much for racing season ending, as its heating up for me

edit - fixed some gramatical errors

Re: sentra vs early bmw, sienna vs early accord...

The 5-Series is called an E34. I'm guessing it was a 530i with an I6, not a V. Good kills.

Re: sentra vs early bmw, sienna vs early accord...

i dont 'have' a sienna, but its the parents. apparenty they are getting rid of it soon so i guess i drove it since my car was in the garage and the van was behind it. im seriously surprised how my car kept up with the bmw. i kno that people say my car should run a mid-low 16, but thats manual. i hate to bench race as well, but they say the inline 6 bmw is suppost to run a low 16. i guess ill find out soon enough.
