Re: 1991 geo metro engine swap
Sounds like the clutch cable needs adjusted. Here is a link that may help.

Re: 1991 geo metro engine swap
Looks like 1985 to 2001 were all the same. Here is a link to ACDelco's cross reference for all the years their part number for a Metro pilot bushing fits.
http://198.208.187.182/internet/Vehi...=A&part=CT1091 I still think it is within the shifting cable or shift rod that connects to the throw out bearing. Did you use your flywheel, pressure plate and clutch disk from your current Metro? |

I Think It Had A Automatic Flywheel On The Motor But I Know It Had A Pilot Bearing In It.

Re: 1991 geo metro engine swap
I was snooping around on the Team Swift site and found this. It seems I remember reading something about this in Chilton's before giving my copy away.
It's about a 92 Metro 1.0L "The flywheel from a manual will fit an auto car-- The auto car has a spacer between the flex plate and the crankshaft that has to be removed." http://www.teamswift.net/viewtopic.p...=spacer+washer |

I would try moving the crankshaft from front to back along the length of the block, to see if there is any unusual amount of movement. If there is you probably need new thrust bearings. |
