not bad but you will definitly need to rebuild. and then are you switching to 5-speed? check the classifieds. there is a 5-speed swap in there for sale.

Re: Please Help if you know anything about this thanks..
keep in mind.. u will need obd0-obd2 harness jumper..obd2 ecu or obd1 ecu w.e ur leaning towards with the obd's ur mom! and a hydro clutch conversion and a 5spd conversion consisting of clutch assembly and clutch cable.. u feeling its all worth it? lets get indepth with ur thoughts dude!! $400 sounds quite sexual..but u need to weigh everything out first..if u do auto to 5spd conversion..ive seen ppl use hammers and chissles lol not good totally ghetto rigged..use the search option b4 u jump into uh mistake..is this a 96 dx?

As for the auto to manual swap. That's doable, but alot of work is required. You can't use the 92+ hydraulic trannies unless you want to get some custom mounts made. You'll need to find an 88-91 civic/crx 5 spd. tranny in which case you'll also need the following: Parts: - Shift linkage from 88-91 manual - Pedal assembly from 88-91 civic 5spd. - Clutch cable from 88-91 civic/crx - Flywheel (from same year as clutch) - Clutch + Pressure plate (from same year as tranny) - D series manual Flywheel bolts - D series manual Pressure plate bolts - 88-91 Manual rear mount - 88-91 Manual passenger mount - 88-91 5 spd starter and starter bolts You'll also have some wiring to do here for the reverse lights, and for the ignition circuit because you're car will want to be in "park" to start, even though there is no park, so you'll have to "trick" it. Don't get the engine or tranny because the block is trash, and you can't use the tranny, motor mounts, ecu, wiring harness, distributor, or axles either. Now, if he wants to sell you the whole head and intake manifold for $150, then it's worth it. Then take the other $250 that you would of spent on the engine and buy an Si tranny and all the parts to do the 5 spd swap. Do the mpfi swap and you'll have yourself a decent first-time setup for cheap.

Re: Please Help if you know anything about this thanks..
yeah dude Jordan brought up many good points..if i were you id just run to a local junkyard..snag anything and everything u would need to convert to 5spd as listed above..and find urself a 88-91 si head, dizz, and intake mani and get urself a dx to si harness..that there is in the 4-$500 give or take or w.e lol those would be the most beneficial mods u could ever have right now trust me! possibilities are almost endless and headache free in the future if u come upon any swap u maybe intrested in..trust me i know lol

Re: Please Help if you know anything about this thanks..
^ LOL , i dont know, This 5 speed swap seems like a lot to do . I was only going to do it cus i wanted a 5 speed but it looks like it would be easier just to buy a crx with a 5 spped in it already but then what about the pain job n everything i already did on this car that would be a waste. Then that means I have to do the same thing to the other car while im taking the body kit n everything off...Or either keep it and make it a show car like my cavalier after im finished but thats to much money for me to be doing in three cars i guess. I don't know ill think on it.. Like i said Thanks for all the info and letting me know what im getting myself into befor i start this project which might not happen. This is my first time owning a honda so i didnt know much about them. Thanks again........

Re: Please Help if you know anything about this thanks..
I agree that DC headers are crap. They aren't bad for the money, but they are poorly designed. Even the $700-1300 headers will rust if you don't have them made in stainless, which they will rarely do because of time constraints. Shit, my $900 header from SMSP is rusting.
Whenever I build something, I save up for the absolute best part I can. I'd rather save the money now for the dyno proven $1000 header than for the 5HP DC header. Don't buy a header just to say you have a header, or any part for that matter.
