This could be really bad! How fast were you going when this light came on? You're not still under warranty are you?

Re: Maintenance required, light!

Get is scanned and make sure all your oils/fluids are good. My Civic has a maintanence required 'indicator' that comes on when the car has reached oil change intervals, regardless if you have actually done it or not. It has to be reset manually. Not sure if yours is the same way.

same thing, and i don't think is too bad.

I don't understand why u ask for the speed?

I only want to know if after i check the fluids (coolant, power s. etc) and every thing is ok, i want to know if then, i can reset the light with confidence.

Re: Maintenance required, light!

Yes as long as everything looks good you should be able to reset. It is mainly used as a reminder.

Re: Maintenance required, light!

A "Maintineance required" light is completely different from a "check engine" light going off. Having the maintineance required light go off is just a friendly reminder that you should do some scheduled maintineance to your car, or at the very least, inspect the condition of major parts. The owners manual should tell you how to reset the light.

Re: Maintenance required, light!

I was completely joking! It just baffles me how many people ask this question without a.) looking in the owners manual and b.) doing a simple search first. It's funny to me, but then it really isn't. It's disturbing.
