Alero won't start

Hello, everyone. I recently purchased a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero with the V6 engine. Within about a week I noticed that it needed a new drivers side wheel hub, so I replaced that, and the fan control knob isn't working, but I already know how to fix that. Newest problem is that the car was working fine, then I parked it, left for a few hours, came back and it wouldn't start. All of the lights came on fine, the security light did not stay on, but then the car would not even try to crank. Tried jumping it, but no luck. I know that the passlock system would prevent it from getting fuel, but would that stop it from cranking? And wouldn't the security light be on if that was the problem? I need any ideas you can give me! Thank you in advance.

Re: Alero won't start

Sounds like maybe your battery terminals are dirty or loose.
To test your battery with a volt meter is should be about 13.4volts(14.5-6 when running).

and Welcome to AF !
