ABS Amber light always on
Hey All
My wife's 95 LeBaron has an amber ABS light that stays on continously. A few weeks ago she "stood up" in the brakes and the light came on and has stayed on. I did the diagnostics with the ignition switch and get the code 55. This code is not used by the computer (According to the factory manual). I flushed the brake system about 3 months ago with a Snap On Vacula bleeder/suction system. After reading the manual, I see that this procedure is incorrect, however, the time between bleeding the brakes and the ABS light has been at least a year. The self test "buzz" worked up until this heavy braking incident. I am kind of stumped, have not visually looked at the individual wheel sensors as of yet..... Any thoughts or experience appreciated. Re: ABS Amber light always on
Hmmmmm... when wifey ''stood on the pedal'', the force of the braking might have killed or burnt out the sensor...

Quote:
When a ABS light is on it is time to get it on a ABS capable scanner and find the problem. The key on codes do not check ABS problems. MT
