Back tires are rubbing up against the fender! HELP

I just a put a set of 17" rims on my Talon today, afterwards I took it for a drive of course only to run into anther problem, my back tires are rubbing up against the the fender, it's really bad on turns and it's worse on bumps. Now the car has been lowered, but it was already lowered when I bought, but I don't think it's lowered to the point where this problem can't be fixed. What should I do to fix this problem, I've heard about coil spring boosters, but is there anything else? Any help will be appreciated.

What size tires are you running and how much is it lowered? I have 17's with a 40 profile tire and it's lowered almost 4 inches and I don't have a problem with rubbing. I think you got too big of a tire. You'll probably either need to raise it back up or get smaller profile tires.

I swear, if you tell me they sold me a tire thats to big for the car, I'm going to punch a baby in the face. The tire's I got for it are size 215/50, I didn't just go pick out a random size, I picked out of the sizes they said would fit on the car, and that was in there. As for how much it's lowered, I couldn't tell you, like I said, I bought the car like that, it doesn't look like it's lowered by to much though.

Did you plus size the tires? My Eclipse also had 17" rims and they fit perfectly. How wide are your rims? How much do they rub the fenders? If a little, try fender rolling. Got a pic?

A 50 profile tire might be too big for our cars when they're lowered, but also depending on how much it's lowered. That rim/tire combo will fit no problem on a stock height car, but I think it's too big for the height that your car is at.

EDIT: You could also try rolling the rear fenders like L-Spec said, but that only helps so much and I think that that big of a tire size is still to big, even for rolled fenders.

Nevermind guys, I went out and picked up a set of rear Coil Spring Booster's, and they work like a charm.
