Solved - Burning smell through vents

A few days ago I posted a note about a acidic smell/exhaust smell coming through the cabin vents when the car was at a stop with the engine operating and warm. The dealer could not solve the problem although I suggested it might have something to do with the spark plugs and wires they replaced recently.

I took it to an independent garage and they found the PCV had been dislodged when the plugs were replaced. No charge except a genuinely friendly suggestion that I might want to consider them for future repair work.

I had looked through all 2500 posts on the Aurora site and did not find that anyone had this happen. Maybe this post will help if it happens to someone else.

So now my wife's 1995 with 47,000 miles is perfect (except for the broken power antenna)

I've had this happen also. It went on for about six month before I figured out what it was. It was dislodged when the Olds dealer replaced the fuel rails.
