Hemi Ticking
I have 2005 Ram 1500 with a Hemi. I have notice recently or haven't been paying attention, a constant tick, tick, tick, coming from the engine compartment when my truck is idling. I have visited other dodge forums and the general consense is it is a normal thing. I think one forum called it the famous "Hemi Tick". Am I being paranoid or should I relax.

Re: Hemi Ticking
another thing you could do is change out the spark plug wires with quality ones.. Cheap wires could cause ticking sounds. My truck was doing that when it was wet outside, after I changed them out, the sound went away.
Just a thought

Re: Hemi Ticking
I went in about a month ago to the dealer and told them i was hearing the same thing on my 05 and they checked it out and said it might be the injecters but that they didn't hear anything out of the norm. I guess i'll live with it.
