need some advice

Is it wise to install a stage 1 supercharger from RIPP MODS if im trying to keep the overall balance of the car in stock form? Also, from viewing several videos of supercharged eclipses, i noticed that they were noisy and winy. Is it just bad video quality, or is the supercharger just thrashy and not built with quality like car manufactures?

Re: need some advice

superchargers are loud

turbochargers are not

i do not know about the difference of handling, or the balance of stock form with the stage 1 supercharger. i do know that it is similar to driving a v8, or so i'm told.

A supercharged car will have that hissing whine to it at idle (I think it sounds bad ass, especially if you have a nice exhaust). A turbo car, depending on the turbo, can make a car sound like shit at idle, but is more versitile than a supercharger. If you run 5psi or so, the car should handle fine, and run pretty stock if you are cruising, but you will for sure notice the difference when you get on it. It wont be anything crazy, or uncontrolable, but it will give you more confidence if you need to make a pass at highway speeds.

Re: need some advice

like what was just proven, turbos and superchargers are both good options, just depends on what you like and or are familiar with.
